What's a Pornslapper? If you've been to Las Vegas and walked the strip, you know what they are in an instant. Lining both sides of the street, standing at every bottleneck in the sidewalk, they stand passing out cards with scantily clad women... a pipeline to the local adult entertainment workers. Dressed in their dirtied yellow shirts, the often Spanish speaking individuals present passers by with their wares, careful never to touch, but always having materials at the ready. If you haven't been to Vegas, that's OK... you'll find that the you'll step right into the lifestyle within a few pages of the script. |

What Makes This Concept Appealing? There are over 40 million tourists in Las Vegas each year, and just about all of them walk the Strip at some point. And if you walk the strip, you know what a Pornslapper is, whether by that name our your own. But the point of the movie isn't just the Pornslappers... it's the main characters, two men whose lives are as far from those as the ones they wish to profiteer from as could be. It's discovering that nothing is as simple as it seems, presented in a package of truly unique humor that is accentuated with the local flair of Las Vegas. |

What They're Saying From the latest Nevada Film Office Contest Final Round Reviews: "It was well written with satirical and humorous dialogue, strong characterization, steard and fluid pacing and personal conflict with good overcoming obstacles." "Although your title, concept, story, language and references are sophomoric and offending to all, it is a very markatable script." "... it will strike a chord with the right demo (13-18) which is the people who by the tickets" What Do You, the Writers, Have in Mind? The special effects are minimal. The locations don't have to occupy major resorts. And as much as we'd love to see Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn, there'd be no reason why two lesser name actors with great comedic timing and a special chemistry couldn't pull off the theme with hilarity. This would be a great fit for a small or midrange studio, with all the elements of a cult classic. |
